Liza Rose is a student in The Pennsylvania University's BA/MA creative writing program. She was born in Maryland, raised in Oahu Hawaii, and then in a small town in Pennsylvania. She likes to describe her work as “hopeful but sad”, or, with perhaps the better term of “Melancholy”. She is often inspired by nature, especially insects, which she has loved since she was a girl. Her work (both poetry and painting) focuses on the little things in life that are too often overlooked. She is the author of the poetry collection “Motion as the Thing That Separates the Living From the Dead”, which was released in the summer of 2020.
